MEA Wine is my art; born from my life experience, and bottled to share with others. From vine to table.

Born and raised in the MIdwest, I moved to California after graduating from college with a degree in Architecture. While building my career in design, I also gained an appreciation and interest in both food and wine along the way.

I spent numerous years exploring the amazing food scene in Los Angeles, venturing to the wine regions of Napa and Sonoma, and traveling to France, Spain and Italy, all in the pursuit of 'life experiences', which always center around food and wine.

I have found that winemaking is a pursuit very similar to my professional background, both combining science & math with a healthy dose of art and self-expression. In the words of Robert Mondavi, "Making good wine is a skill; making fine wine is an art." I agree.

 In 2005, I stumbled upon a beautiful, secluded property in the Adelaida District of Paso Wine Country and decided to make it my playground. A few years later, I planted a small vineyard and dove into the exciting world of winemaking. After some time experimenting and perfecting my craft, I couldn’t keep my creations to myself any longer, so I opened a little boutique winery. Now, I’m thrilled to share my handmade wines with you, and I hope you find them just as special as we do.

Alongside my wonderful partner, Daniela Medrano, we've created a welcoming space for our wines—a cozy haven for friends in a quiet industrial area of the vibrant town of Atascadero. We adore Atascadero for its lively downtown, hometown charm, and easy access to the many attractions of the Central Coast. We hope to see you soon!
